About AllTheTopTen

Fast, clear, well-sourced answers to "what are the top 10 ___?" — for basically anything.

AllTheTopTen.com exists to answer one kind of question really well: what are the top 10 of something — the tallest mountains, the fastest animals, the highest-grossing films, the largest economies. The web is full of top-10 lists, but most are slow, cluttered, out of date, or vague about where their numbers came from. We aim to be the opposite: a clean ranking, the key facts, a clear source trail, and a date that tells you how current it is.

What makes a list here

Every list is built to the same shape: a ranked top 10, a one-line "quick answer," short factual blurbs for each entry, a simple visual to show the scale of the difference, and a list of the sources behind the numbers. Where a topic changes over time, we revisit and re-date it rather than letting it drift stale.

How it's made

The site runs on a custom content pipeline that drafts each list from authoritative public data, which is then human-reviewed before it publishes. The goal of the automation is consistency and speed; the goal of the review is accuracy and judgment. You can read the full process on our methodology page.

Who runs it

AllTheTopTen.com is an independent site published by Lance Dobson. It's a passion project built around a genuinely useful format, not a large media operation — which is exactly why the sourcing and the update dates matter to us.

Spotted a number that looks wrong, or a source we should be using? We'd genuinely like to know — see the contact page. Corrections make the whole site better.
