Ranked by 2024 production of the FAOSTAT item 'Cocoa beans' (Production: Crops and livestock products, element Production, tonnes), from the FAOSTAT bulk download (Production_Crops_Livestock, release of 23 December 2025). 2024 is the latest year in that release. One source, one year: every top-ten value is a 2024 figure; the 2023 column and year-on-year comparisons come from the same dataset. Shares of world production are our calculation against the dataset's 2024 World total of 5,233,245 tonnes. Fractional tonnages are rounded to the nearest tonne. FAOSTAT flags the 2023 and 2024 figures for Ghana, Nigeria and Cameroon as figures from an external organization (noted 'Unofficial figure'); all other top-ten figures for both years are flagged official. Figures from cocoa-industry sources such as the International Cocoa Organization (ICCO) can differ; this list uses FAOSTAT figures only. Regional and world aggregates are excluded. There are no ties; 11th place is the Dominican Republic at 57,461 tonnes.
